On Monday April 23rd, CenterPoint Energy announced the purchase of the electric and natural gas utility, Vectren. The combined company would have services in over 30 states including Ohio, Indiana, and Texas. This deal is pending approval from various regulators and is expected to close by first quarter 2019.
